Chris John and Asiku, Relaxed

Both the champion, Chris John, and the contender, Jackson Asiku, looked relaxed during the cancelled press conference of the fight due to some unfinished administration matter. John vs Asiku is scheduled on Sunday, July 27, at Rama & Shinta Venue, Dufan, Ancol, Jakarta, Indonesia.


"He's a good boxer, but I'm motivated to win this bout," said John who's now waiting for his second child due in August.
On the contrary, Ugandan Jackson Asiku said that he can win by KO maximum in round 10. "And I'm going to be the next Ugandan world champion!" said Asiku in high confidence. Same as Indonesia, Uganda has had 4 notable world champions until now fromk different eras. They are Cornelius Boza Edwards, Ayub Kalule, John Mugabi and Kassim Ouma.

On the undercard, John's stablemate, "Cool" Willie Kickett will fight Indonesian Michael "Speed" Sigarlaki in a superfeatherweight non title bout.
