PROVIDENCE, RI (September 18, 2008) - New England's favorite son DEMETRIUS ANDRADE, a 2008 U.S. Olympian and reigning World Amateur Champion, will host a news conference luncheon homecoming with his promoters Joe DeGuardia and Art Pelullo of Star Boxing and Banner Promotions, respectively, to announce his highly- anticipated professional boxing debut.
The news conference will take place:NEXT WEDNESDAY! September 24 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center (One LaSalle Square, Providence, RI, 02903), in the One LaSalle Square Restaurant beginning at Noon ET.
Andrade, 20, from Providence, the No. 1 professional prospect from this year's U.S. Olympic team, was a quarterfinalist at the Beijing games. The two-time Golden Gloves Champion and two-time National Champion captured the World Championship in 2007, the first American to do so since 1999.
Andrade and his team will be available for one- on-one interviews.
