The WBA featherweight title match between Chris John and Jackson Asiku of Ghana, scheduled for tomorrow, July 27, is finally off after both fighters failed to appear for the official weighing in today. Both were nowhere to be seen at the 4PM weigh-in, and in accordance with the rules, they were given two hours. They still hadn’t come by 6PM. "This is a very rare situation, and I heard just before 6PM, that the fight to be postponed until November," said Alan Kim, the WBA supervisor to Fightnews. "In this situation, I will make justification with all parties involved, and I will report it to the WBA headquarters," explained Kim. John–Asiku was in a repeated on-off situation due to some disputes among the parties involved in this show, until it was finally decided to postpone the bout.
